A)- max has dressed up as a wild thing and was misbehaving. He was scolded by his mom and he stomped off without eating anything. When he returned to his room, he imagined himself Travelling to a forest filled with wildest thing through the sea with his own private boat. After he met the wild things, he became the king and started commanding them - to swing, march and growl. During the night, he commanded the wild things to go to bed without eating anything. This was when he started to feel lonely and smelled good food. He missed his Mother and realised she is the one that loves him the most. He started Travelling back with his private boat. When he reached his room, he found out that his Mother brought him supper and it's still hot.

Theme of the book
- To not judge someone by their looks (terrible eyes, terrible claws, terrible teeth etc..)

- Family (in the story, even though Max was angry that he did not get his supper (from his mum), he still prefered "to be somewhere where he was someone loved him (home)".

Why is this theme relevant to children?
- Children tend to get upset when they don't get what they want. They say things like "I hate you" "I don't love you" but they don't actually mean it.

- To not be judgemental when making new friends as their physical appearance does not define them (the monsters looked terrible but they were actually nice towards him).
