A beautiful flower

Awaits in the darkness

For someone to come and find it.

I came across that flower

After wandering for so long

 

It’s a beautiful flower

With reds and blues and purples

I stare at it with wonder 

And then I pick it with curiosity.

 

Friendship is a beautiful flower

That blooms in different ways

It appears when you least expect it

And mine was a beautiful way.

 

Because of that flower

I found something better than

Jealousy or hope

I found a friend

A friend named Faith.

 

Hair as light as cornsilk

Eyes the deep blue sea

I don’t look a thing like her

But we’re sisters inside.

 

You are my Faith

You keep me going even when I 

Don’t want to live

You are my anchor

That ties me to this world.

 

I love my friend Faith

She is the best thing that 

Happened to me

I can’t promise I’ll always be happy

But I’ll be there when she needs me

I can’t bear to see her sad

Or mad enough to hate me.

 

I will always be able to help 

Even if I can’t 

Faith is faithful and

Nothing will ever change that.
