<title>The podcasting journey has been filled with moments of collaboration and celebration as my students share their voices with the world. My main motivating factors for using podcasting in my classroom were to offer non-traditional ways for students to share and take ownership of their learning. As we engaged in this new learning experience, my students continued to thank me indirectly as I witnessed them overcoming their fears of speaking to an audience, and carrying a sense of pride in what they were scripting, creating, and sharing. In fact, They could not wait to script the next episode, and were even more excited to conference with me after their recording session. I couldn’t believe the buzz in my classroom! Students actually wanted their learning to be assessed and amazing dynamics were shifting within the culture of my classroom. The art of podcasting definitely plays a role in learning. More specifically, podcasting allows opportunities for educators to facilitate collaboration, to promote creativity, to motivate, differentiate, and to amplify the voices that truly need to be heard from the classroom- our students. My students clearly exceeded my expectations using podcasting as a platform to demonstrate learning. They created an entire season 1 with a minimum of 5 episodes including topics that were informative, entertaining, persuasive, and creative. Their ability to make academic connections while using their voice was beyond what ever imagined. </title>
