- Global: The amount of unnecessary trash produced by industries needs to be reduced, like toothpaste that comes in boxes that utilize plastic for the sole purpose of the clean aesthetic.
- National: The amount of trash produced by both industries and individuals ends up in the ocean, directly affecting our oceanic flora and fauna and contaminating beaches. This also affects towns where trash is dumps since it causes an unsanitary environment and damages fertile land.
- Local: Packaged snacks and/or lunches add to the unnecessary amount of trash produced.

Global: Throwing away reusable or recyclable objects that can potentially cause damage and contaminate the ocean including glass, plastic, paper, and metal can be recycled, saving energy and creating less was. As well as disposing of toxic chemicals (plastic that might possess some of known toxic chemicals)dioxins, phthalates, vinyl chloride, ethylene dichloride, lead, cadmium and other toxic chemicals.
Local: Things such as food or small materials can be brought in reusable /washable containers to avoid throwing more Trash/plastic away.

Chile:The public transport in Chile could be electric and financed by the state to protect the environment from the gases. Also Sustainable heating should be obligatory and controlled by the authorities.
Global:Chemical Companies should have a limit of production, so the state could control the contamination.

So one effective solution could be that teachers/student council can create awareness about how big the problem is and why we need to help prevent/decrease it.
Chile:  One of Chile's main challenges regarding environmental reservation is to increase recycling rate even though nowadays there are a lot of centers on santiago, the main reason is because in average Chileans produce one kilogram of garbage per day and the 80% is not recycled. This problem also affects a lot of ecosystems across the country as some recycle materials ends up on oceans or forests which by time it starts to accumulate, nowadays there are some laws that decrease plastic by prohibiting plastic bags on supermarkets but that is not enough to decrease it to high/maximum levels.
Global: The amount of recycling materials such as plastic which end's up in different places as the oceans and forests, this is affecting a lot of animals by killing them and destroying their ecosystems. So it is important to create awareness of this huge problem that is having a lot of consequences around the world nowadays.

My individual goal: Create awareness in our community about how important it is to recycle for us to decrease plastic and other recyclable materials of affecting different places and ecosystems.

- I ask my classmates if they recycle in their houses and here in the school, 6 out of 11 people always throw away their trash (made out of recyclable materials) to the trash can and not in the correct recycle bin.
