Usually baptism occurs a few days after birth but adults are also baptized if they want to be in the Christian faith. They use water for spiritual purification and for cleansing. When you are getting baptized your parents choose two people to be your godparents, Godparents are two people who agree to be responsible of the child if something happen to the parents or the parents are unable to. Also some parents want to name their child/infant is giving a name during Baptism. This is called Christening.

For Death Catholics believe once they die people are judged according to how they lived their own lives. The one thing all Christians have in common with their belief is, they have the belief in eternal life. A sacrament that is called the Anointing of the Sick is given to people who are very ill. In some different countries a wake or also called a period of mourning and prayer, happens at a funereal.
