"School ARt Gallery" is a project co-funded by Erasmus+ program and has a duration of 30 months, starting on 01.12.23 and ending on 31.05.2026. 

It is a consortium formed by the coordinating entity "EPMA" (Czech Republic) and four partners: XUL Foundation (Spain), Consorzio RO.MA (Italy), CRHACK LAB (Italy) and Mistaker Maker (Portugal).

The objectives of the project are to facilitate the digital transition in schools, align school curricula and competencies with EU priorities, equip educators with key digital competencies, establish links between the EU learning community and test the practical application of digital methodology and tools through the creation of school art galleries. The project aims to enhance the importance of artistic disciplines through the application of AR and improve student outcomes in this field.

To this end, we will develop a school curriculum, aligning digital competencies, EU-level approaches and pedagogy with the focus on artistic disciplines and the practical application of the AR approach in those school subjects. Our aim is to create an online community and platform to meet the demands of the target groups and the need for an engaging and high quality learning environment as well as a practical application of AR.

Our project has multiple goals. First, we aim to provide art educators with comprehensive training that enhances their digital literacy, enabling them to integrate technology creatively into art instruction. Following the DigCompEdu framework ensures educators acquire a standardized set of digital competencies, which is crucial in the modern educational landscape.

This curriculum benefits both educators and students. Educators gain practical skills that make their teaching more dynamic and interactive, while students experience enriched learning environments that incorporate advanced tools such as AR. This prepares students not only for success in the arts but also for broader digital literacy that will be essential in the 21st century.

Additionally, the curriculum encourages the exploration of art forms, such as street art, that are often underrepresented in traditional educational settings. By including urban art and augmented reality, the curriculum aims to capture students' interest, connecting them with contemporary forms of artistic expression and allowing them to explore cultural and social impacts of modern art.

Ultimately, this curriculum empowers educators and students alike to embrace the dynamic intersection of art and technology, paving the way for innovative approaches to teaching and learning in the digital age.

We are delighted to invite you to an introductory meeting for the School ARt Gallery training course!

We want to enhance the importance of art disciplines through the application of AR and improve student outcomes in this field.

Our meeting will be held on February 5th 2025 16:30 - 18:30 CET in the School ARt Gallery VR platform (instructions below), a space made for the teachers to interact in a virtual environment, exploring course contents and numerous digital possibilities. While it is not obligatory, you will be guided through the platform with the support of our team and be introduced to our project and the course, so it's a great opportunity to try things out together with other teachers internationally!

• Follow the on-screen instructions by clicking Join Room (if the option is not available, it means too many people are already interacting inside, but you can enter using Spectate, where you will be able to listen and wander but not talk or interact. Don't worry, you can try to switch to an interactive role later by simply re-entering!)

• Set your display name and avatar and click on Accept

• Check your audio settings: allow microphone access so you can speak with other participants, then click on Enter Room
