Laos is one of the many countries that is in stage 2 of the demographic model because Laos has a birth rate of 24.76 per 1000 people, a death rate of 7.74 deaths per 1000 people, and a NIR of 1.70. Because of there high birth rate and their low death and NIR Laos has continued to grow and is now in stage 2.

Population problems

Laos is in stage two of the DTM chart. They don't face much of a population problem since they're in stage two. If they were in stage Four and had this high of a NIR, then the population problem would be overpopulation. There current population is about 6.8 million. 6.8 million is pretty low for a stage two country, so that must mean that they are just starting stage two of the DTM. The solution of this problem is to let stage two do what it's supposed to do anD wait for population to go up as intended. That's probably the biggest population problem out in Laos at the moment? Most problems faced are economic problems.

In 1970 Laos was in stage one with high CBR And CDRS.

In 2010 Laos was entering stage two with high CBR and low CDR. The reason there is a fault in the children is because in 2008 69% of children in Laos lacked basic healthcare making them victims of illness.

In 2050 Laos is expected to be in stage four with low CBR and CDRS
