    Yes, I have assumed that someone might not know how to speak english from their accent. 
    3. Is judging someone based on his or her accent or speech pattern different from judging that person based on his or her appearance?  
     No
     4.Can you think of examples of this that you have seen or experienced?
     Yes, when i first moved to America. The teachers and students thought I was dumb because i had a very heavy accent and didn't much english.
