They than stumbled across a pile of gold in the woods. They each had a plan to kill one another which turned out none of them got the gold because they ended up killing each other. 
Three brothers- the three brothers each got to make one wish from death. The first brother got a wand that turned out killing him. Second brother got his true love back but realized she wasn't the same so he hung himself. The third brother lived the longest and passed his invisibility to his son and than died.
Young goodman- goodman relied on his faith a lot throughout his life. He then later loses his faith and has to rebuild it up again. He loves his wife and kids as well as his faith.
Dealing with the devil- the guy was an alcoholic until he found a lady that changed his life.
