At the last hours of the class it was the tome to put our learning into practice, we were tasked with creating a PowerPoint slides about a specific public agency. Our group of eight chose and collaborated effectively to highlight its functions, challenges, and impact on the public.

2nd week, our studies was based on Modules 3 and 4, where we focused on the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directive, trade agreements, and risk management. There we examines the BPS Procurement Directive, which mandates that agencies employ processes which are "open, fair, and transparent". But the weeks prime focus was on Module 4

Module 4 introduce us to risk management, discussing its definition, functionality, and significance. We'll look into the different strategies for handling risk, that included "avoidance, transfer, and mitigation".

In the last hours of the class, we engaged in an In class activity of group of 4 centered around the case study titled "But it was only a $1000". This case draw a scenario where Lilly Brown made a poor decision by hiring Bob, an unlicensed mechanic, resulting in further issues in the school i.e more leakage problems. This illustrate us the critical nature of risk management and the consequences of its misuse. As part of the lesson, we were prompted to offer our opinion on how we would have approached the situation differently.

The speakers outlined our specific assignment for the ERP software we are choosing, which includes identifying the advantages of using barcoding within supply chain services and fleet & operational services. the return on investment (ROI) of barcoding systems, methods for cost savings, and the necessity to provide recommendations for suitable ERP software and barcode systems which is included in it and potential vendors. The lecture was brief ,which lasted only 45 minutes, and offered valuable information for our project.

It was also mentioned that the group from each class with the best presentation and conduct would get the opportunity to present at the City of London.

Our class begins with the discussion based on the individual assignments and the SILEx project, where we were tasked with submitting a draft individual case study for professors feedback as it is considered as our midterm exam.

We then engaged in a Nearpod quiz based on the previous week's module, but unfortunately, I got the last three answers wrong, which make me no reach in the top three positions, which was a bit disappointing😒.

Module 5 highlighted the content of the Law of Agency, which establishes that an employee, as an agent, is empowered to act on behalf of their employer, the principal, to engage with third parties such as suppliers.

Then, we moved into contracts and bidding in the next session. Despite the bidding section being somewhat boring to me, the professor introduced an interactive class activity using the "Ron Engineering" case to illustrate issues related to bidding.

We looked into the nature of competitive bidding, its defining features and so on. The most challenging part of this module was understanding the various types of bidding processes, that including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), RFPQs and Requests for Information (RFIs), which initially seemed a bit quite confusing.

To make clarity and understanding of these concepts, professor thoroughly explained each one them, which helped us gain a better understanding. To further our understanding , we were formed into groups of four to engage in a case study research. Our group got the "Sound Contract vs. Nanaimo 2000" case, which centered around a bidding issue. We were tasked with studying the case, making our opinions on it, and preparing to discuss our findings and justify them.

This week was the midpoint of our course with a special focus on Mid-term group case study. Just prior for todays class , we were supposed to submitted our individual case studies. During class, we formed groups of four to collaboratively work on the Group case study. This assignment was unique in that we had to complete and submit it within the two-hour window of the class itself.

The task was to find out the alternatives and potential issues related to the scenarios based on the individual case analyzed. These group activities allowed us to dive deeper into the subjects of our individual case studies.

After this review, we moved to our module which concentrated on the scope of work, or the statement of work. This part of the lesson is typically based on he understanding of the detailed expectations and requirements of a project or a job to be completed.

For the final thirty minutes, we transitioned to a group activity. There were Five individuals volunteered to represent different companies of venders and the rest of the class acted as decision-makers, evaluating the volunteers' proposals. Our job was to determine the scope of the products or services presented by the volunteers and decide whether or not to procure their offerings and under what conditions.

For the group activity, the class was divided into three groups. Each group chose a company and engaged in discussions to determine the appropriate weightings for each factor, such as quality and service. The ultimate goal was to balance these weightings in such a way that their total equaled 100 percent.

Our group was tasked with evaluating outdoor exercise equipment, and we decided to place a higher emphasis on quality and service compared to the other elements. This activity helped us to practically apply the concepts of the module by assessing what attributes were most valuable for the product in question and making decisions that reflected the collective priorities of the group.

Today's class was about the ethical considerations, professor presented various scenarios to us to determine if they represented ethical or unethical issues. This led to a deeper understanding of ethics itself, defined as the moral principles that guide a person’s actions or conduct in an activity.

As part of our in-class activities, we grouped into threes or fours; we created a group of 3 . The professor described three different scenarios, and we needed o share our opinions on each of the scenarios. The first scenario was based on the York University deciding between two bidders: one known for high-quality work but at a greater cost, and another for being less expensive. Our group wasn't active on that scenario, which led the professor to approach us directly with the second scenario which is the concerned City of Halifax’s procurement department and the ethical dilemma of a staff member considering whether to favor a friend's company for a contract or to remain fair and transparent. After discussing this scenario, we moved on to the third, which was set in the London Health Sciences Centre's procurement department.

Today, the whole class time was dedicated entirely to preparing for the SILEx project. The professor allocated the full two hours for us to finalize our reports and presentations. She circulated the room walking among each groups , available to clarify any doubts we had regarding our reports or PowerPoint presentations. As our report was almost completed, we mainly focused on making corrections with suggestions from each team member and used our time for crafting and practicing our presentation. There was no lecture scheduled for the day; it was all about hands-on preparation.

Today was the day of the SILEx presentations. The professor arranged the order of the presentations, and our group, number five, was third from last to present. Everyone performed excellently, and notably, team three was chosen to represent in the City of London
