BEGINNING:Aeneas was a famous hero who fought the Trojan War. He set sailed from Troy and many Trojans joined him. He thought that a place destined for them was Italy (Hesperia). Helenus gave Aeneas clear directions to Sicily to avoid mariners; however, Helenus didn't realize that Sicily was occupied by the Cyclopes. While the Trojans were there, a storm struck which was controlled by Juno. Juno hated all of the Trojans especially Aeneas. Neptune helped the Trojans and helped them get to land near Carthage. Juno tried making the situation worse and wanted the founder of Carthage, Dido, to fall in love with Aeneas, so he could abandon Italy. Venus actually stopped Juno's plan because she wanted them to fall in love, so Aeneas had no harm to himself in Carthage. MIDDLE: Juno sent Aeneas to Carthage where he finds Dido, the Queen of Carthage. Venus orders Cupid to make Dido and Aeneas fall in love. Dido becomes madly in love, however Aeneas does not feel as strongly as her. She spoiled Aeneas with many gifts, and soon he became used to this special treatment. He no longer wanted to continue his journey and leave all the fancy things he received from Dido. Mercury comes to tell Aeneas he must leave and continue on. Dido is very upset about Aeneas' departure, she commits suicide. BEFORE THE END: Aeneas left Carthage to find a cave where the wise woman Sibyl. He is supposed to find a golden bough to enter the underworld. When Aeneas reached the underworld, he saw several horrific things. They ventured more and found Charon the ferryman who helped the dead travel. He was willing to take them in exchange for the bough. They all first go to the Fields of Mourning and he sees his dead lover Dido. After, he goes to the Elysian Fields where Aeneas's father was. His father tells his about his future and what will happen in Italy. END: While Aeneas looks for allies the people of Etruria had just risen up against their king that was helping Turnus. Turnus is planning against Aeneas, and his supporters try to warn him but the only two people that are brave enough to go are Nisus and Euryalus. In the end, Euryalus is captured and instead of running away and saving himself, Nisus tries to rescue his friend. When it becomes clear that there is no solution the enemy kills Euryalus and then Nisus. Aeneas and Turnus come into a one one one battle where Aeneas successfully kills Turnus. Aeneas defeats him and sucessfully founds Rome....

Aeneas reached Italy and defeated those who entered the country.
