         <description><![CDATA[<div>King Saud was born on January 15th in 1902, in Kuwait. He served as the crown prince of the Kingdom from May 11th 1933, until November 9th 1953, when he was crowned the King of Saudi Arabia. However, unlike his brothers, King Saud resigned from his role as the king of Saudi Arabia on November 2nd, 1964; he died in Athens, Greece, on February 23rd, 1969.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>He was the second ruler of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and was the oldest amongst his brothers; Saud moved to Riyadh after his father, King Abdulaziz, conquered the city of Riyadh in 1902. He accompanied his father in many of his escapades to unify the Arabian Peninsula. In 1925, at just 23 years old, he stopped the Almahmal crisis in Makkah.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>After the end of the Yemen war, his father inspired him to travel abroad, and he was accompanied by his father’s adviser as well as his physician; he toured many countries in the middle east, notably Iraq, Palestine and Egypt, as well as attending the coronation of Queen Elizabeth in England in 1937.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>King Saud died of a heart attack on February 23, 1969, in Athens, at the age of 67. He became ill two days before his death and requested that his Austrian doctor, Filnger, examine him. However, his physician arrived after he had died.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>His body was transported to Mecca and then to Riyadh, where he was laid to rest at the Great Mosque in Mecca. He was laid to rest next to his father and grandfather in Riyadh's Al Oud cemetery.<br><br></div>]]></description>
