Coalition of OT Advocates for Diversity (COTAD)

The COTAD Chapter at the IHP was founded in 2019 and is designed to support occupational therapy students and faculty to work together in developing and promoting diversity and inclusion within OT education programs and in the profession. Both COTAD and the IHP COTAD Chapter create opportunities and resources to foster open conversation and increase awareness of different lived experiences to increase cultural humility and provides its members the opportunity to connect with each other and the community at large. This chapter meets and hosts educational events throughout the year.

This group aims to foster an environment of social justice, accountability, and racial equity for current and future students, faculty, and staff across all disciplines within the learning community. To fulfill these objectives, SEA will aim to work collaboratively with IHP stakeholders, including administration and alumni, to promote a just, equitable, and anti-oppressive learning community.
