This sudden motion could be an earthquake, a powerful volcanic eruption, or an underwater landslide. The impact of a large meteorite could also cause a tsunami. Tsunamis travel across the open ocean at great speeds and build into large deadly waves in the shallow water of a shoreline.
What happen to people in japan
2011(>300ppl died hundreds of ppl missing and also the Nuclear reactors was broken
We can have a fundraising event also we can help them donate money and food donations because the a lot of people die and a lot of people lose their home
wave could be reduced would be the construction of the equivalent of the Great Barrier Reef to dissipate the energy held in this huge volume of water - or open up a void for it to fall into! - or we could detonate huge depth charges to reduce the column of water to spray

Drought is an insidious hazard of nature. It is often referred to as a "creeping phenomenon" and its impacts vary from region to region. Drought can therefore be difficult for people to understand. It is equally difficult to define, because what may be considered a drought in, say, Bali (six days without rain) would certainly not be considered a drought in Libya (annual rainfall less than 180 mm). In the most general sense, drought originates from a deficiency of precipitation over an extended period of time --usually a season or more--resulting in a water shortage for some activity, group, or environmental sector. Its impacts result from the interplay between the natural event (less precipitation than expected) and the demand people place on water supply, and human activities can exacerbate the impacts of drought.Because drought cannot be viewed solely as a physical phenomenon, it is usually defined both conceptually and operationally.

Drought has many causes. It can be caused by not receiving rain or snow over a period of time. We learned in the discussions about the water cycle and weather that changes in the wind patterns that move clouds and moisture through the atmosphere can cause a place to not receive its normal amount of rain or snow over a long period of time.

If you live in a place where most of the water you use comes from a river, a drought in your area can be caused by places upstream from you not receiving enough moisture. There would be less water in the river for you and other people who live along the river to use.

People can also play a big role in drought. If we use too much water during times of normal rainfall, we might not have enough water when a drought happens. We'll talk more about this when we look at how drought affects our lives and what we can do to protect ourselves from drought .

A tornado is a rapidly rotating column of air that is in contact with both the surface of the Earth and a cumulonimbus cloud or, in rare cases, the base of a cumulus cloud. They are often referred to as twisters, whirlwinds or cyclones,[1] although the word cyclone is used in meteorology to name a weather system with a low-pressure area in the center around which winds blow counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern.[2] Tornadoes come in many shapes and sizes, and they are often visible in the form of a condensation funnel originating from the base of a cumulonimbus cloud, with a cloud of rotating debris and dust beneath it. Most tornadoes have wind speeds less than 110 miles per hour (180 km/h), are about 250 feet (80 m) across, and travel a few miles (several kilometers) before dissipating. The most extreme tornadoes can attain wind speeds of more than 300 miles per hour (480 km/h), are more than two miles (3 km) in diameter, and stay on the ground for dozens of miles (more than 100 km).[3][4][5]

The partnership between Bharti Enterprises and Walmart has been dissolved. Formed in 2007, the joint venture’s purpose was to build and operate cash and carry superstores in India under the name Best Price Modern Wholesale. As partners, the two companies jointly built 20 superstores. These superstores are located in major cities such as Amritsar, Zirakpur, Jalandhar, Kota, Bhopai, Ludhiana, Ralpur, Indore, Vijayawada, Agra, Meerut, Lucknow and Jammu.

But the two companies have now agreed to go their separate ways. Bharti will acquire the Compulsory Convertible Debentures held by Walmart in Cedar Support Services, a company owned and controlled by Bharti. Bharti, which operates 212 stores plans, plans to continue growing independent of Walmart. Bharti indicated that it is committed to building a world class operation and will continue to invest in a retail concept called “Easyday.” For its part, Walmart will contiunue to operate the 20 superstores opened since 2007 without the benefit of any partnership.
Walmart management has said it wants to serve India and its people through its cash and carry business. Management believes that the company has in place the supply chain infrastructure, direct farm program, and supplier development that enables it to make good investments and provide good returns for its shareholders.
However, there is a problem. The Indian government requires retailers to source 30 percent from small suppliers which is difficult for Walmart to comply with. Another problem is the continuing US investigation of fraud in Mexico, Brazil, China and India. In Indian, the government is investigating whether a loan made by Walmart to Bharti broke foreign investment rules. Both Bharti and Walmart have denied any wrong doing.
While Bharti and Walmart managements each wished the other well, I suspect that national differences and the challenges of working together broke up this partnership. Walmart entered into the partnership with Bharti in hopes of achieving a liberalization of the Indian market. This hope was not fulfilled and as a result the relationship with Bharti was no longer desirable, according to Scott Price, President and CEO of Walmart Asia.
This action is similar to what happened in to Walmart in Germany. There Walmart stores were competing with entrenched local general merchandise and food merchants, rendering Walmart unprofitable. The company was restricted from running sales except for certain times, and the operation never appealed to the German shopper.

India’s most recent drought has hit the most severe drought in 40 years. The number of affected people has reached 3,000 million people, equivalent to a quarter of India’s population. In Shahapur, 130 kilometers southwest of Mumbai, local villagers get the long-distanced water well that has not yet dried up every day, and then come home again.

With the advent of the summer season, temperatures in many parts of India have soared to above 40 degrees. At the same time, due to the El Niño phenomenon, the monsoon’s “unsatisfactory” has caused India to face water scarcity for two consecutive years and suffered the worst drought in nearly 40 years. According to the statistics of the Indian government, 256,000 villages in 254 areas in 10 states from north to south have been seriously affected, and the number of affected people is 330 million, accounting for about 1/4 of India's total population, of which Maharash is located in the southwest. Trabong is the worst hit.

Drought has become a chain that has constrained India’s run in recent years. The drought caused by poor monsoon landing has brought a serious impact on India’s economic development. Some farmers have been unable to make ends meet due to sharp declines in their harvests. They have committed suicide. The major “water users” in the industries of textile, paper, and food have been affected by water restrictions. India's economic growth. India’s finance minister twice “had the wind” during the month and hoped that the monsoon would land at an early date to help the rapid economic growth. The disaster seriously affected the lives of the Indian people. All schools in Orissa were forced to suspend classes because of continued high temperatures. In Howrah, West Bengal, the affected people took to the streets to protest against the lack of drinking water. In Madhya Pradesh, residents living near the Bari Gotti Dam went to the dams that were much lower than the normal water storage capacity to steal water, forcing the local government to send a large number of security forces on duty 24 hours a day. In La Tour in Magbang, water shortages even forced some clinics to cancel routine surgery. The picture shows the people carrying water home.

In the Mabang Malatwawa area, the government dispatched trains to deliver water. A total of 50 cars can carry 2.5 million liters of water a day. The water is transported to the local area and transported by tank trucks to the village. In Bihar, the government has ordered that before the end of this year's high-temperature drought, no fire can be prepared between 9:00 and 18:00, and religious activities that require the use of fire are also not allowed. If they violate the ban, they will face up to 2 years imprisonment, because in the past two weeks, about 70 people in Bihar had died of fire. One of the fires had burned more than 300 straw huts. Because of fears of conflicts over water grabs, in some parts of India, it is also stipulated that no more than five people may be allowed to gather near the well. Many people line up to take water at the well. A resident told reporters: “Several droughts in recent years have made us accustomed to this type of water intake. Sometimes it takes a long time to turn ourselves.” According to a local resident, “Habang is basically two. In the first year of drought, precipitation is scarce. If the drought is severe this year, the pressure on farmers will be enormous. Our only hope is that there will be a good monsoon this year."

This idea of "living on the heavens" triggered some foreign media discussions.
