Frost uses nature as a background. He usually describes natural views and then relates them to some human situation. A similar phenomema may be seen in his poem "The Road Not Taken". He describes a wood in the fall, which means a phase of transition in life.  An axsmple from the text is In the third stanza when  , he said- "yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back" . The speaker needs to decide which way to go, knowing there is no coming back, just like in life.
