It can also consist of having a home with a family and to financially support the family back home. Anyone’s American Dream is realistic to achieve as long as they’re willing to work hard for it. If someone falls short of their dream they should analyze what they did wrong and take a different approach and not give up. She believes that she hasn't fully completed her American dream because a part of her dream was to build a house back home in Mexico and she has yet to do so. So within the next 2-3 years she plans on finally completing her promise.

The background of this song is about a man talking to his mother about traveling around the country. The lyrics in this song talk about how easy it is for someone to go wherever they want in the U.S. in order to achieve their American Dream. It also gives insight on how people can do all that with ease and without being hassled by anyone along the way. The lyrics ,"Voila An American Dream Where We Can Travel Anywhere Girl Without Any Means." supports my thesis because it means that you could go anywhere even if you don't already have an American Dream in mind and can still achieve it wherever you  end up. The lyrics, "When it's as easy as closing your eyes." also supports my thesis because there is nothing holding you back on what you want to do with your life out here in the United States.

The movie is about a group of young Hispanic high schoolers and their day to day lives. They all wish to do something with their lives aside from working in the fields. The cross country coach at their school gives them the opportunity to be more. After winning CIF the group of boys all continue in school and live successful lives in the United States. This clip supports my thesis because the coach tells them that they're one of a kind and that they've worked harder then everyone else to be where they currently are. This supports my thesis because Grande was the only one in her family who stayed determined and kept working hard in order to graduate. No matter how many bumps she encountered along the way she didn't let anything stop her. She didn't let her family's problems, her own problems, or her immigration problems stop her from achieving her American Dream. Grande reveals that in order to achieve your American dream you have to keep pushing. She didn't let anything stop and she thinks that everyone should do the same. A piece of evidence that supports this is,"Achieving the American dream requires political and economic freedom, as well as rules of law and private property rights. Without them, individuals cannot make the choices that will permit them to attain success, nor can they have confidence that their achievements will not be taken away from them through arbitrary force." Another good piece of evidence that it gives is, "It offers the freedom to make both the large and small decisions that affect one’s life, the freedom to aspire to bigger and better things and the possibility of achieving them, the freedom to accumulate wealth, the opportunity to lead a dignified life, and the freedom to live in accordance with one’s values—even if those values are not widely held or accepted."
