A new week is here and today I had two lessons, one teaching lesson and one relief lesson. At 8:10 a.m., I moved to my relief class to Class 2A for two periods. Like always, I let the students complete their homework on their own.

At 12:15 p.m., I entered Class 3S, I assigned a listening practice. The students were relatively receptive, presumably due to the fact that they liked solving puzzles, such as associating different audio sounds with the answers to the questions. Later, I distributed files to learners in Class 3S which I bought 34 files using my pocket money I saved for. They were thankful since the files provided organized system of their reading and listening materials. Now, they only have to bring in the file on Mondays and Thursdays alone. It will also make it easier for them to review their exercises and notes for the purpose of preparing for the end of academic semester examination dubbed Ujian Akhir Sesi Akademik (UASA).

Today I had three classes one in the morning teaching and two in the afternoon as relief. At 9:30 a.m., I taught my teaching class, 3K, the same listening lesson as what I did yesterday but to a different class. The students completed ten miniconversations, with each of which were posed three questions. They leaned forward and had to pick the answer that they thought was most appropriate of what they have heard. We summarize the answers afterward, and I asked them to count the numbers they got correctly out of 30. I also used 34 files for each student to have more storage place to put all the reading and listening exercises done in class.

At 10:40 a.m., I visited 4S2 to attend a 30 min relief break. Like always, I let them attend to their homework.

Later, at 11:40 a.m., I also monitored another relief session for 2G during which the students completed their own tasks. For the remaining three hours of the day I spent my valuable time in preparing teaching aids and planning for the next day’s class.

I gave them grammatical worksheets as well as reading comprehensions to work on during the class. This lesson was taught over two periods and took an aggregate of 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete. To the reading exercises I advised my students to put their work in their reading and listening folders.

At 10.10 am, I joined class 3S for one period class and as usual I asked them to do grammar worksheet.

I had two teaching classes today. At 7:returned to school at 7:30 AM, proceeded to deliver a reading lesson in Class 3S as I did to the same class yesterday. As great luck would have it the school mentor visited the class to likewise check the students workbooks and award marks afterwards accompanied by stickers which is so vital to the PBD marks. During exercise workbooks evaluation I proposed to use praise stickers as evidence to the assessment as advised by my mentor.

Then at 11.10 am, I entered class 3K for one period. As usual, I asked them to do a grammar workout in class including a grammar worksheet. After that, I spent the next three hours preparing teaching aids and lesson schedules for the week’s lessons in class.

Today, I had one relief session for Class 4A2, spanning two periods, with no teaching classes scheduled. As usual, I allowed the students to work on their own homework, and they were all well-behaved and courteous throughout. After the class, I spent time refining my lesson plans and consulted with my school's mentor for feedback and further guidance.
