This is about several technologies and considers what their impact on our daily lives are, with a particular emphasis on social robotics and online social media. Sherry Turkle sees society and culture now, and how she views its progression into the future. She generates an argument of why technological progression is changing the foundation of social communication. One of the central arguments guiding is the explanation she gives about the modified perceptions of postmodern communities. I discovered that many people were using technologies to avoid feelings of loneliness or depression even though they knew about technologies did not have emotions or personal connections. People are more willing to use technology as a substitute for having interpersonal connections. Many will use these technologies to find comfort in a world where most are preoccupied by technology. Texting, social media and robots are making it easy for people to become more enveloped in a society that demands people to care more about technology than those around them. The usage of internet and smartphones has fundamentally  how people live out daily lives. I describes that when people do not have their phones they feel nothing. They feel disconnected and disadvantaged from those around them. People are more willing to communicate through texting and emails than the social encounters of old. Some even feel more fulfilled in their online lives than they do with real life interactions. I sees the robotic technology as a siginificantly more relevant part of society than I would correct. The potential flaws in her logic come from how she sees these robots as major factors affecting youth.
