Next, I attended a HR briefing session, where they shared important information about Micron's company policies, values, code of conduct and workplace culture. The session also covered employee benefits, dress code, and working hours. I learned about the company's mission, vision, and how interns and employees contribute to Micron's success.

After that, I had a short IT session where i received my company laptop and set of lunch box. The IT team assisted me in setting up my login credentials, email account, and access to internal systems like Microsoft Teams and Micron's internal portal. They also provided a basic guide on cybersecurity and best practices when using company devices. I was given the laptop, monitor, lunch box, keyboard and others. As we 're attend the onboarding session, every new hire were assigned a buddy and my buddy assigned is Daxter Chong. Lastly, We also get the badge at the end of the session and also register for car sticker.

I also continued the onboarding orientation by joining MMP team orientation with Sharivindaran A/L Segar and his team as he explained about the workday learning, MMP site security, site quality, cleanroom, 6s and others.

Next, My buddy introduced me to the Fixed Asset Department team members. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and they gave me a brief overview of the department's responsibilities and how they manage company assets. I also welcomed by the GFC (Global Finance Center) team members as new interns here. My buddy also helped me get familiar with the layout like meeting areas, department workstation, IT room and others. I felt excited but also a little nervous starting in a big organization. However, the onboarding was well- organized and helped me feel more confident and prepared.

I also had the opportunity to attend the Monthly Capital Analyst Meeting alongside the Fixed Asset Department. This meeting is held regularly to allow all team members and analyst to provide updates on their current tasks, ongoing projects and progress related.

There also a quick sharing segment, where team members highlighted useful tips and information. Though i still new, this gave me the valuable exposure to how work tracked and communicated among them.

Lastly, i attended the MMP 6 month Internship Briefing conducted by Miss Azza. The session organized to give interns full overview of Micron Malaysia Internship Program and covering what to expect during the next six months.

She walked us through the structure of internship, performance expectations, and how progress will be tracked.

Kee Fang also explained the lifecycle of a fixed asset- from acquisition, tagging, usage, and movement, all the disposal. The session was very informative, and Kee Fang explained everything clearly.

Next, also has some info sharing by our HOD that is Vivien Ng, she share some value information to us as our add on knowledge relate to this event.

The event was filled with positive energy and with some of games here. There were several games and booths, all designed to exposed to employees the sensitivity of the autism. I participated in a few games which is touch the guess. It was entertaining and eye opening. As a token for joining the games, I received a squishy toy which added a nice touch to experience.

Kee Fang began explaining why EIP and AUC are and how they relate to the Fixed Asset Process. She shared the project is aimed at improving the aging analysis of asset that are still under construction, especially those that have remained open for a long time.

She also highlighted the current problems, such as delays in closing AUC items, and the process inefficiencies. The objective is to clean old records and analyze the root causes and develop the system for monitor AUC aging status.

After reviewing the notes, I started to explore the tools that i'll be using more often during internship like trying out excel functions filter, pivot tables. Next, getting more comfortable with zoom and outlook and teams .

After completing the courses, i took time to recap all the things knowledge i gained during first week here.

One major issues is when the Goods Receipt checkbox is unticked during PO creation. This allows the system to process Invoice Receipt (IR) without confirming the goods were actually received.

Azzah give the briefing and task for the interns about the project progress during the learning. Each of the interns need to updating the project every friday.

i learned and be familiar with the data first and updating the analysis data of the listing of AUC Aging P7 for each of the region by doing the bar chart.

I learn the power point tools by watching the video and create the bar graph using the data of AUC aging each of the region to make the comparison.

I share the problems i had while doing the project and he guide me to solve that problems using the best ways. I learned on how to use the excel in the good way.

I joined the talk by ERG team which is advise us to write the will for ensuring that our assets are distributed according to our wishes and that loved ones are taken care of after we passed away. This will protect our family for getting good treatment in future.

I also learned how to use ZCALMSEARCH for search the calm number for new PO. Then, i also learned how to check the amount of ending balance every region for P8 using the ME80FN (General Analyses).

My buddy assigned task revamp sharepoint to me and Zi Ping and introduce the planning dashboard.

Zi Ping and I discussed and review all the documents in the sharepoint and identify the documents not in use in the another excel.

I get to know the GFC members from different teams and have meet some of the seniors in person during the session. i also enjoy joining the game challenge each of the check point.

During this session, Daxter helps Zi Ping and I to clarify one by one the category whether in includes in 'Reporting' folder, Team Members Roles & Responsibility, Dekstop Procedures, Knowledge Sharing or Projects. Then somes of the outdated folders need to be archived and confirm with the creator.

GFC FA Quarterly Meeting

l learned and see how the FA team managed the meeting flow start intro by our boss, Chun Yoong (CY) and some advice given for us . Then Next, i see my team updating the progress every of pillar, start from disposal/settlement team present by Lee Peng, Then continue to CIP (construction in progress ) present by Evon and EIP (equipment in progress) update by Kee Fang, Backup plan/ Contingency plan present by Jessi and also got the rock star award during the quarter which is gabriel and vixin. During the meeting , i also got the chance to introduce as new hire members with Chin Khang Lim, manager FA.

The meeting in this quarter seens like special because we got visit by some of the leaders from outside like Richard, Shawna,Alison Cheung and many mores. During this meeting, we have some fun quiz and appreciate achievement to GFC members in giving their performance and activities during the period. During this meeting, i see how they handling the big events with a nice and good presentation especially their emcee.

Project Discussion (Revamp)

I having discussion with Zi Ping about the project and continue go through together the list of sharepoint in excel and highlight some of the file/folder need to be confirm with the creater.

I discussed with Kee Fang and go through together the first slides to the last and check together if got the missing amount or error. I also double check the amount of P6,P7 and P8 is it include the OCAP and capital freight or not. Next, we add some notes for the slides for the better understanding.

May Mental Health Month 2025 : Pause, Reflect & Reconnect

This campaign focused on empowering team members to take intentional steps toward mental wellbeing both at work and in life. The Microns Leaders emphasized the importance of mental health in the workplace through the Zooms Meeting.

The C2C module is strategically placed within the internship program to provide a booster session close to the meeting with the site leader, aiming to enhance the interns' confidence and communication skills. During C2C program, i learned the differences of fixed mindset and growth mindset as we are transition from college to the workplace, so we need have growth mindset as a learner and adapt the changes of the new environment. During this program, we share our opinions among interns and instructor and courage ourselves to be proactive and use this opportunity to keep learning here.

EIP AUC Aging Project

Having discussion about the slides and add another one slide for details of aging bucket according to days from 0-90 days column until >2 years and highlights the amount of AUC >180 days. I also need to add another column for Ops Finance/HOD each of the region and make the comparison AUC aging monthly.

Wellness Webinar- Prostate Cancer

This session featured Dr. Warren Lo Hwa Loon, Consultant Urologist from Gleneagles Hospital, who shared valuable insights on prostate cancer. During this session, we can understand the nature of prostate cancer and identify grouples of people who are most at risk. He explain about the symtomps on how to recognize the early signs and importance of early detection. This also highlight for us to practice the healthy lifestyle and dietary that can prevent prostate cancer.

Han Nee show me the tutorial on how to drafting the lease tool in region 1580 (Taiwan) for the P10.

I learning the process on how to prepare the JE USD and JPY for entity 1580 (Taiwan) guided by Han Nee with creating the excel for each of the calm no for the entity. She also explained about the USD payment that needed as supporting document for JPY because the amount in PO is in JPY so need to attach the USD amount as well. I also learned to access the calm/ to get the fx approval for the USD payment attachment.

Completing attach SAP snip to JE file

I complete attach the SAP snip for P10, P09, P08 and P07 for 1580 entity as supporting documents and learning the process of posting JE in blackline.

This training, i learn on how to adjusting the fonts, colours and customizing the background , fonts as professional slide. The best things is i learned on how to create the morph transition using the transition effects which is smoothly transform and move between slides. I also learn other AI tools such as canva, Napkin.ai to visualize my data into slides.

Zi Ping and i discussed the future folders would be and the folders and files would be include in it.

We go through all the slides together and have discussion for the outcomes presentation and tasks.

This meeting with Dato Sanjay shares regarding the news of Micron on facilities, finance revenue, shares and others and he also emphasize in increasing the AI tools like co Pilot to improve our quality hard work.

This session was organize by CK. Each of FA team were divided into 6 group then has discussion about 5 more intiative and list out 5 from the excel (brights idea) on how to leverage AI by respective jobs.Then if got any job/task should be stop also can directly present to our managers.

Tax Journey with Kooi Ling

This session Kooi Ling as Tax Manager here she shared her inspiring career path starting from accounting firm and transitioning to commercial sector. She shared the challenging part especially when handling complex tax filing tasks. Despite the dificulities, she emphasized how each challenge contributed to her professional growth. Her journey highlight the importance of resilience, continuous learning and seeking mentorship.

EIP AUC Aging Project

During this discussion, Kee Fang and I brainstorming together to see how to change the slides to professional mode and minimize the context fix to one slides. Then , we thinking on how to put the next steps in our slides and adjust some alignment on this. Then, we also see the flow on how the presentation will be.

The session was part of a global Finance All Hands event, with a special in person gathering and provide regional visibility into global finance updates on strategy, performance especially in leveraging AI driven technology in our finance task.They also share about how we can leverage AI in this era because this dynamic changes gives challenge for us as we are still new to this AI.

Revamp Sharepoint Training & discussion

This session, Daxter, Zi Ping and I works together in giving training to the FA team regarding revamp sharepoint. We prepare the format and some guidance for FA team to organize our file by region and pillar . By doing this, i can see overall the file and monthly task handle by each of the region and the BOT file in sharepoint.

They have basic health screening, oral health consultation and eye screening. I get the package basic health screening which they test the cholesterol in our body. Then, have the counselling session based on the result come out.

Kee Fang review draft slide presentation and suggest the efficient flow to present and discuss the idea how to connect project content with the system like SAP and Blackline that i already learned here. Then, we adjust some of slides to make it better before slide review session.

My lecturer, Dr Dzarfan had a visit to Micron and discuss with my SV, CY regarding the students performance and give some advice for future growth. They also discuss about the future engagements for collaboration especially for future internship.

Each of the respective region give the update to CY regarding the AUC aged items and share the issues regarding this aged items. One of it is because the delays of capitalization assets and delays in getting info from the users.

I join VR Tour From FAB 10 and can see the procedures before entering the production visit and have a look the environment surrounding.

Daxter, Zi Ping and i discussed and prepare the training materials for next Tuesday and discuss any improvements and materials can be prepared for better understanding. We also review the training presentation flow by PPT and prepare if got any question would be asked.

This program about the showcases the future of smart manufaturing through the real time automation. This program is to engage with experts and peers to spark new ideas and shape Micron's Industry 4.0 Journey.
