A representation of justice i seen since the class was when I went to get my haircut. On the way there somebody got pulled over on livingston and the cop just gave the person a ticket. I didnt see no significance it was just a random traffic stop. This depiction tells me that justice can be fair if its towards the right thing.

I saw a youtube video of two police men being sent to jail for a long time because they claimed a man was resisting when they were trying to arrest him so they broke his back and paralyzed him for the rest of his life. For the guy I wouldn’t necessarily say he got justice completely because he still has to live with being paralyzed but for other people in the world there’s a little justice because now the police men aren’t able to do something like that to someone so easily just because they think they have power over other people. I personally think someone that paralyzes someone purposely should be sentenced life just because of the fact that the man has to live with being paralyzed for the rest of his life.-Daniyah

A representation of justice i have seen since the last class was at McDonald's. There was a young girl placed at the window, her job was to hand people there food. while there a lady came and was just not "satisfied" with her. So this resulted in her going off and was calling her horrible names. To avoid the situation she called a manager over to deal with the situation. The manager then decided to kick the lady out. This action tells me that you can achieve justice about anywhere but not everything is considered justice. Like the girl could have retaliated towards the lady and could've felt justified, but not the right kind. - Fama

the justice i have seen since the last time ive been in class is the people that killed ahmad arbery are now locked up I think this is justice because he hasn't done anything weird to get him killed. and they finally put the people who killed him in a jall cell. but its rare for this to happen most of the time when a white person kills a black person they do not have to much of a problem with the system because there white. you can see this with the kid in michigan. even tho he killed people in broad daylight they some people try to defend him when different websites tell us that his mom drove him there knowing he had a gun and he was going to a black protest. another example is with breonna taylor death, the police broke in her house and shot her without a warrning, so justice doesn't happen much.-brock

The last representation of "justice" I encountered was actually on our last day at school. I was walking to class and on my way I stopped and told to take off my hoodie. The significance of this portrayal was just I felt it was very unjust and just gave evidence of how the administrators at the school value uniform over academics. Our clothing is always the center of attention but they just allow us to float right by when it comes to grades. This depiction shows me that justice can be misguided. It can be focused on the wrong things rather than the things that actually matter. Justice can get so caught it any different situations that the grasp of right and wrong is lost. I know this because there has been many scenarios where the wrong charges were brought up in situations where in actuality the charges and the thought process on them should have been greater. -Ja'leona

A representation of justice I saw a homeless man get removed from a nearby the store. He was laying on the ground. Then a guy came, someone with the store, and told him he had to leave because he was bothering customers. He had the police come and remove him. I don't think this was right because that man didn't have anywhere to go. He wasn't bothering anyone and just wanted to stay warm. It showed me how inconsiderate people can be. I think the situation could have been handled differently because all it looked like is that he didn't like the homeless man. This shows how much other people can have a huge say over your life and you don't get to defend yourself. The homeless man looked less believable. He never had a chance to have justice.

the representation of justice that I seen since the last class was the murder of Ahmaud Aubrey. The killers of Ahmaud Aubrey were all convicted of with life sentences without parole and i feel like justice was rightly served because there is not a lot of peope who get justice when it comes to a black lifes matter situation, or a police brutality situation. when it is a white on black crime it is a 50/50 chance justice will get served. There are other black African American Men and Woman that do not get to have that advantage. So it was kind of nice to see that something was being done about this situation and of course i do not wish anything on anybody but it comes to the point where we need to stop persuading violence, especially to innocent individual. Ahmuad Life was taken away so soon for no reason necessary.

the representation of justice that i have seen since the last class is the Israel and Palestine conflict. I think that it's unjust because Israel is funded by the United States and has weapon but the Palestinians don't have basic human rights, they have no land army, and some are kicked out their homes for new Israeli settlers to come live in. I think the deception is that people around the world are seeing this genocide happen but are choosing not to say anything - hawa

when i was scrolling on tiktok i came across this video of a cop pulling a black man over. The cop pulled the man over because when he ran his tags they didn't match to the car. Once the cop seen that the man was black things just went down from there. The cop asked for the mans paperwork so he gave it to him, the cop pulled the man out of the car being very rough and started saying he had drugs on him. The cop called for back up and two more cops came. the man was placed in the back of the cop car, while he was in the car the cops searched his car and didn't find anything. Once they noticed that he didn't have anything on him they started asking him questions like "where did you put the drugs? where did you throw them? once you get to the jail we will search you if you don't tell us where they are". Once the video got out the three cop could not go to work. i don't think justice was given to the black man because he was put through that and the cops just got laid off. - Ciara West

The justice I saw was Ahmaud Aubrey's murderers being convicted. They were given life sentences. This bought justice not only to Ahmaud but the whole black community. This is significant because there have been many occasions where black people who are murdered don't get justice just because they're black. It shows a step in the right direction for black people in America. What this tells me about justice is that it's very subjective and is constantly changing depending on the situation. - Fatima

The last representation I have seen since the last class is the time when my brother almost got sent home for wearing his football hoodie. He came home and tole my mom what happened and I was shocked. The significance of this situation is that it was very unfair considering there are hundreds of other football players who wear their whole football warm-ups to school. The school will allow teachers to wear hoodies but not the students, they are more worried about hoodies than any type of education. Justice can be in many different situations and the word justice and its meaning is losing its balance. I think this because I have seen other situations where other people may say it is "justice" but not the same kind of justice you may be referring to. Everyone has a different outlook and meaning of it. - Janiah
