The Hagia Sophia was opened in 537 AD and architected by Isidore of Miletus and Anthemius of Tralles. I really enjoyed learning about this due to the scale of the structure. Overall this class informed more about Islamic art than I knew and I have also grown a greater respect for it. I also think the minarets are pretty dope.

The Pantheon is a Roman Temple that was commissioned 27-14 BC. It features a very large dome that has a really cool texture on the inside. I originally did not think much of the Pantheon until I saw pictures of people beside it. I think its very respectable to have built that with technology from 2000 years ago.

I find this piece of architecture very interesting due to the history behind it. The Parthenon would have be awesome to see unmolested but as time goes on things get destroyed or deteriorate. I think it to be very impressive that the Parthenon was blown up in a battle due to ottoman ammunition stores and did not completely topple.

Mihrabs I believe are visually beautiful. I did not realize until this course that Arabic script is woven within Islamic art. I like this one in particular mainly due to the blue color. I don't really know what it is to me exactly that I like, but I believe it is a culmination of the blue painting and very intricate ornate Arabic text.
