This parade is filled with vibrant colors, joy, music, and tradition. Finally, we have our Antique Car Parade, featuring over 200 classic and vintage cars manufactured since 1900. This is a family-friendly event where people enjoy the exhibition.

First, there is the parade of the "silleteros", which this year 2024 will be held on August 11th. The route starts at Regional Avenue. This parade consists of farmers who decorate beautiful floral arrangements with all kinds of flowers and, they put the silletas on their backs

There is also a classic and antique car parade to be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 and will have as its special theme "Convertible Cars". The cult of flowers is a tribute to women, fertility, and life. This event is a must-see for anyone interested in experiencing a unique blend of tradition and modernity, two qualities that have made Medellín a global model of growth and innovation.

The event will take place from August 2nd to August 11th of this year.

I am referring to significant events. The Flower Fair inauguration commences with a concert featuring renowned national and international orchestras and artists in sector obelisco at 6 p. M. This will take place on August 2.

Later, during my 12th birthday party, while I was enjoying a new skateboard with my cousins, they surprised me by bringing one of my favorite skaters, Sebastian Gonzales, the owner of Inferno. It was probably the best birthday I ever had, celebrated with my dad.

My older brother and I were excited as we drove to Cerro El Volador. We had heard stories from our parents about how it was the perfect place to fly kites because of the open space and the strong, steady winds. When we arrived, we found a cozy spot under a large tree where we could spread out our blanket and set up our picnic.

After enjoying some sandwiches and fruit, my father helped us assemble the kite. It was a vibrant mix of red, blue, and yellow, with a long tail that fluttered in the wind. My brother took the first turn, running with the kite until it caught the wind and soared into the sky. Watching the kite dance high above us, I felt a sense of pure joy and freedom.

Soon, it was my turn to hold the string. With a bit of guidance from my father, I managed to keep the kite flying high. We laughed and cheered, our voices carrying across the hillside. My mother took pictures, capturing the happiness on our faces.

After flying the kite for what seemed like hours, we settled back on our blanket to enjoy the rest of our picnic. We shared stories, played games, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of being together as a family. The day ended with a beautiful sunset, painting the sky with shades of orange and pink.

That day at Cerro El Volador remains one of my happiest childhood memories. It was a day filled with laughter, love, and the simple joys of being with family.

First of all we have the official inauguration of the flower fair, this activity will take place on Friday the 2nd of August and will be a concert in which artists such as Pipe Bueno, Binomio de oro, Dálmata, el combo de las estrellas and Risa loca y su guachafita will perform. This concert will take place from 6:00 pm to 1:00 am, in the obelisco sector.

On August 10, the parade of antique cars takes place, which seeks to showcase the beauty and value of each vehicle, promote the conservation and restoration of these cars, encourage or passion for the history of the automobile and offer an attractive visual spectacle for the public. The parade starts at 9:45 am and its route begins at the Pontificia Bolivariana University (UPB) and ends at the EAFIT University.

- Also, Concerts of Salsa, Mountain Music, Ballads, Vallenatos, and Popular Music will be held in ticketed venues like Centro de Eventos La Macarena, Estadio Atanasio Girardot, pabellón amarillo de Plaza Mayor, and others. These concerts will offer something for all musical tastes.

The fair starts from August 2nd to August 11th . Cleaning in a wholesale store, when I was 17 years old. And I only learned that real life was even more horrible and unfair than I could have imagined. Not for me, my work wasn't bad at all. I had to be sweeping, mopping, cleaning the huge windows, rearranging products and all that easy stuff. I earned the minimum, but I didn't expect anything else. Actually what saddened me was the misery that surrounded me. In my case I was there because it was my first job. My companions, on the other hand, had not been able to choose anything better throughout their lives. My best friend there was the cashier, a woman in her forties, who doubled shift because she needed to get a little more money to pay for her son's college fees. Thus, he could earn two minimum wages. I also remember Don Polo, the driver of the truck that transported the merchandise. He had been working for the company for 19 years. They had never increased anything, other than the small adjustments by law. He treasured his job because after 19 years he hadn't really learned to do anything other than drive that truck.

The fair is celebrated in honor of the tradition of floriculture in the region. Based on this, several featured activities take place, such as the Silleteros Parade, which is the main event and will be held on Sunday, August 11, starting at 2:00 PM. The Classic and Antique Car Parade is scheduled for Friday, August 9, at 10:00 AM.
