An application of the light on Earth can simply be the rainbow in the sky or colors reflected off of objects, such as a red apple. Since light can travel through a vacuum, an application of light in space could be the colors of planets like how we call Earth the "Blue Planet."

Radio waves are used for radios, and channels that transmit podcasts or music through radio waves, which are picked up by receivers and then redirected to physical radios. That is a way that radio waves work on Earth, but what about space? Radio waves are used very similarly in space as they are used for communication for astronauts while exploring. Humans also use infrared waves in space because the infrared waves have longer wavelengths than other waves so it can pass through dense sections of gas and dust in space without that many difficulties. So since the infrared waves can do that they can be used detect molecules in the atmospheres of planets and stars and to see stars or dust.

People restore the sole by using UV lights and a product that has hydrogen peroxide. When the UV light comes in contact with the hydrogen peroxide it generates very active hydroxyl and restores the original color.

Ultraviolet rays come from the sun and other astronomical objects. UV radiation can produce light and heat. Scientists use satellites positioned above the atmosphere to sense UV radiation.

Some uses of gamma rays include radio therapy, and a way to Sterilize food (irradiated food). Radio therapy, in oncology, helps kill cancerous cells! Which are very useful for us as we can use these to find and eliminate the cancer cells from our patients. Sterilizing food is also very useful, it can help preserve food and prevent some food born illnesses. There is less worry and less threats with food irradiation.

In space gamma rays are used too, for example satellites! Satellites navigate space and help find new undiscovered things like planets and galaxies. There's also an invention called the "Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope" which provides our only view of the universe in gamma rays!

Gamma-rays travel to us across vast distances of the universe, only to be absorbed by the Earth's atmosphere. Different wavelengths of light penetrate the Earth's atmosphere to different depths.

space-    Scientists can use gamma rays to determine the elements on other planets. The Mercury Surface, Space Environment, Geochemistry, and Ranging. Gamma-Ray Spectrometer  can measure gamma rays emitted by the nuclei of atoms on planet Mercury's surface that are struck by cosmic rays. When struck by cosmic rays, chemical elements in soils and rocks emit uniquely identifiable signatures of energy in the form of gamma rays. These data can help scientists look for geologically important elements such as hydrogen, magnesium, silicon, oxygen, iron, titanium, sodium, and calcium.
The gamma-ray spectrometer on NASA's Mars Odyssey Orbiter detects and maps these signatures,
