Thank you for everything Mr Lin. Firstly for guiding us through SC from the time when we were just getting to learn the ropes of being an exco till now when we are going to be stepping down. Secondly more personally from me thank you for tolerating my horrible chinese 😅 and not giving up on me and still teaching me. 谢谢老师

Hi Mr Lin!! Thank u so much for ur guidance and patience towards all of us student councilors, without ur presence in the student council, I couldn't imagine how different it wld be. Saturday Trip to the hong bao giving experience with you guiding our way to every block and house , I can tell why all the seniors are sad about the latest news of you leaving the student council. I may not always say this but thank you for what you did in SC. I always respect you for having such a big heart to tolerate behaviors of naughty and disrespectful students just to ensure that you impart knowledge to everyone. I appreciate when you help my class out since its full of chaos. Because of you and my sec2 form teacher my class have change into a better student. Hey Mr Lin! Thank you for bring such a leading figure for us Student Councillors to turn to for guidance and to learn from. It has been so long since I first joined the AES Student Council. One thing that would stick with me forever, one that I have learnt from your prestigious terms of service in Student Leadership in AES, is the importance of Leading by Example. We have to ask ourselves at one point in time, "Am I a leader? What do I want to do for the school?" Through the activities that I have assisted in delivering during my time as an SC, I realized the importance that leadership is not all about just a perfect plan. You need the heart, the mind and the vision to serve the greater population in Assumption English School.
Though it is grieving to see one of the Student Council's most valued teacher leave, we wish you all the best in your new area of duties in the Student Management Team (SMT), and I hope that there will be more fulfilling lessons that can be learnt from you in my coming years in the school.
Your advice and great motivation will not be forgotten by me, but I'm sure also by all of us in the SC. These skills and mindset will be the driving force behind our determination and duty to Lead with Humility, and Serve with Compassion.
