I think these are a great way to help students dive deeper into the meanings of words. Often times students will ask me why words are spelled differently in the Old English text (Canterbury Tales, for example) than they are in more modern text. This would allow them to define the word, but then also dig into the history of where they word comes from.

Using images would allow students to have a visual and our limited English speakers use Translation each day.

I think that the Highlight Tool will be a great tool to use in my Social Studies classes. We often read articles about current events in my World Geography and Economics classes. This can help students identify important places and figures. They can also indicate challenging or new vocabulary terms. In World Geography specifically, they could identify where they see the different themes of geography throughout an article or reading. This could also be used in argumentative writing. For example, if they highlight their argument in one color and highlight pieces of evidence in another, it will make it clear to me and them what they’re writing. Overall, I definitely see this being a useful tool in my classroom.

The Table of Contents Add-On would be helpful for students to easily navigate lengthy Docs. I often divide longer readings into smaller parts. If I create the various part titles as subtitles or headings, students will be able to use the Table of Contents tool to easily navigate the Doc, and they can find their part more easily and more quickly.

The Formenate tool seems like it would be useful to convert Docs into Forms to ensure that I have tests or quizzes in both formats. I think that it would be most helpful to convert open-ended worksheets or quizzes into Forms. However, I feel like creating a Form may be easier than using the Formenate add-on because of the specific format needed to use Formenate.
