         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Emergency Contact Hold:</strong></p><p>1. Log into myPurdue and click on the "Academics" tab or search for the "Emergency Contacts" tile/link.</p><p>2. Review/Update: If you have an existing contact, review it for accuracy. If no contact exists, click "New Contact" to add details.</p><p>3. Click the "Verify" button (if an Order 1 contact exists) or "Verify/Submit Changes" (if adding/editing) at the bottom of the page.</p><p>4. Confirmation: The hold is released automatically once you submit, and you'll see a date indicating when it was last verified.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Financial Responsibility Hold:</strong></p><p>1. Log into myPurdue.</p><p>2. The "1XXXX" indicates this course has not been evaluated and is not an approved transfer course.  </p><p><br></p><p> </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>After you have met with your advisor to confirm your plan to complete your degree requirements for your final year, you can apply to graduate.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Log in to your&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://mypurdue.purdue.edu/"><strong>myPurdue</strong></a>&nbsp;and select the Academics tab.&nbsp;In the Destination Graduation card, you will select&nbsp;<em>Apply to Graduate</em>.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Review&nbsp;the information and select a term. Note:&nbsp;This is&nbsp;<strong>not</strong>&nbsp;the term you wish to graduate. This is the most recent term in which you were enrolled in the degree-seeking program that you plan to earn a degree. Select a term and hit Submit.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>A Curriculum Selection page will appear.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please carefully review the information on this page!  If anything is incorrect, do not continue. Contact your academic advisor right away to&nbsp;update&nbsp;your curriculum.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Students who have multiple majors only attend one commencement ceremony. The first major you select during the application to graduate process&nbsp;determines&nbsp;which commencement ceremony you attend. You must then go back and&nbsp;submit&nbsp;a new application for any&nbsp;additional&nbsp;programs or certificates.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>If you have more than one active degree program, you’ll be presented with multiple buttons to select. You&nbsp;may&nbsp;only select one at a time. Select your highest degree first.          <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>FERPA and Parents' Access to Their Student's Education Records:</strong></p><ul><li><p>When a student reaches the age of 18 or begins attending a postsecondary institution at any age, FERPA rights transfer from the parent to the student.  </p></li><li><p>FERPA regulations take effect as soon as the Purdue student receives a schedule of classes from the University.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>A student can give parents, legal guardians, or other trusted parties access to view certain pieces of their student information online. This access is referred to as proxy access, and the person who is granted this authorization is called myPurdue proxy.
