So one day in 1773 the king of England sent over the tea but tripled the taxes to pay of the war England was just in. Furthermore when the colonists figured out they felt so taken over.  Then late at night colonist went in to costume as Indians and dumped all the tea into the harbor.

At this part the story also felt frightening when Johnathan was just siting in the field waiting for the time to end but he never came home. For instance when John went off to war he tried to show bravery so that Maddy would not be worried about the war. Another example is when John would sneak out at night she would try to show bravery by helping him get a disguise so he would not be worried that he was going to get hanged. And of course when John went off she was trying to show bravery but it did not work.
