• Christianity: In Christianity, he is known as Saint John the Baptist and is the patron saint of various groups, including hermits, converts, and tailors. 

• Islam: He is revered as the prophet Yahya ibn Zakariya in Islam. 

• Other Faiths: He is also honored in the Baháʼí Faith and the Mandaeism faith, a religion whose followers claim to be remnants of his original community.
