The treatment for this disorder is with psychotherapy, be physically active, and medications. Psychotherapy is talking with a therapist to reduce your anxiety symptoms. You can talk to a medical professional to try to work through your anxiety by giving you specific skills to use. You could also talk to the professional to understand what exactly is causing the anxiety to help you get through some of the problems. Lastly, mental professionals could help you gradually go back to activities you avoided because of your anxiety. Medications for anxiety are antidepressants, buspirone, and benzodiazepines
