I didn't see how it would be relevant to me and quietly dreaded it. 
By the end of the first lesson my mind had been changed. I really appreciate the amount of group collaboration that went into the lessons and I could see how the creativity involved would be relevant to all teaching aspects. I know with time and commitment I will be at a level high enough to excel in my assessments. Drama and collaboration are definitely co-dependent. There will be moments where you will need to make the students believe it is ok to attempt something and they will be more willing if you show them first. Today we learnt more about dance, but more specifically it was focused around skills used to move around the room. We were asked to enact our birthday dance which corresponded to the numbers given. My birthday dance became jump, rock, jump, leap, fall, travel, travel, jump. This was another one of those embarrassing moments that lead to building confidence. I gained valuable experience and improved my teamwork and social skills in the process. Furthermore, I made some great friends that I am sure I will stay connected with throughout my degree. One thing that surprised me about teaching The Arts is the amount of fun and variety there would be.
