This included hard conditions that could risk his survival rate. 
I=His intentions behind this letter, was to share his experience to his mother and father, in hopes of them getting a hold of it. 
P=The purpose of writing this letter to home, was to share his mistreatment, and his daily activities with his family in hopes of them showing sorrow and mercy to him. He explained the hard labor that went along in his agenda, showing his body was weak. He portrayed that there was diseases spreading, "everybody around me is weak and sick". He kept status on what he had been eating on the daily, a spoonful of peas to a handful of bread. He did not want to continue his journey. 
P= What I had gathered from reading this text was that Richard Frethornes did not like his experience and his treatment.
