         <description><![CDATA[<p>Il vino di Castelvenere</p><p>Castelvenere è conosciuto come il paese del vino. Qui si producono vini di qualità, famosi in tutta la Campania e anche in Italia.</p><p>Il vino più tipico è la Camaiola, un vitigno autoctono che dà un vino rosso dal sapore intenso e fruttato.</p><p>Nel nostro territorio si coltivano anche altri vitigni come l’Aglianico, la Falanghina e il Piedirosso.</p><p>Ogni anno, a fine estate, si celebra la Festa del Vino, un’occasione speciale per degustare i vini locali e vivere le tradizioni del nostro paese.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>La Scarpella of Castelvenere</p><p>A treasure of flavors and traditions</p><p>In the heart of the Sannio region, among the gentle hills of Castelvenere, there is a dish that tells stories of ancient traditions and conviviality: La Scarpella. This rich and flavorful baked pasta is the symbol of the local Carnival and the celebrations in honor of Saint Barbatus, the town’s patron saint.</p><p>Origins and meaning</p><p>The Scarpella has its roots in the rural and pastoral culture of the area. Its name may derive from the Lombard word "skalk", meaning servant of the meat, or from "scalpello", the chisel used to cut the portions due to its compact texture.</p><p>Traditional ingredients</p><p>Made with durum wheat pasta—usually perciatelli or mezzi ziti—Scarpella is dressed with:</p><p>Cured pork sausage, diced</p><p>Fresh cow’s milk cheese (known as primo sale)</p><p>Aged pecorino cheese, grated</p><p>Beaten eggs</p><p>Extra virgin olive oil and a touch of lard</p><p>Each family in Castelvenere has its own version, making Scarpella a unique and personal dish.</p><p>Preparation</p><p>The pasta is cooked al dente, then mixed with oil, lard, cheeses, sausage, and finally the beaten eggs. Everything is placed in a greased baking dish and slowly baked—traditionally in a wood-fired oven or in a terracotta pan covered with embers.</p><p>A festive dish</p><p>Scarpella is more than just a meal: it’s a ritual that marks the end of winter and the beginning of Lent. A dish that celebrates abundance and sharing, bringing to the table the authentic flavors of Castelvenere.</p>]]></description>
