Most Native American tribes hunted before the Europeans invaded. When they hunted, they used tools such as wooden spears with sharpened stones and bows and arrows. The animals they hunted usually were deer, fox, moose, and rabbit. Sometimes they even hunted bear and wolf.

Not just hunting they also farmed. They mostly farmed beans, corn, and squash. These were known as the three sisters. Sometimes they farmed foods such as pumpkins, peppers, strawberries, yams, and wild rice.
