The UNAD has the mission of contributing to the integral and permanent training of human talent through the constant qualification of academic-pedagogical processes centered on the self-management of learning so that from the appropriation and application of science, technology, ethics and aesthetics is promoted and dynamizes local and regional development within the framework of a democratic.

Oriented towards a training that allows the understanding, application and use of universal knowledge, as well as the creation of new knowledge and the formation of attitudes, competencies and values ​​in the educational community for the promotion of endogenous development processes in the economic field.

The Environmental Management Component is part of the Integrated Management System -SIG of the UNAD as well as the Quality Management Component, Safety and Health at Work Component, Information Security Management Component and Component of Management of Technological Infrastructure Services; within which there are shared requirements, such as those related to the determination of functions, responsibility and authority and competencies of the personnel; the control and maintenance of the documentation; the management of internal audits, the management of risks and the formulation of corrective actions; the schemes for tracking results and review by management; as well as in the activities of the processes.
