1) Fireworks:

On New Year's Eve,  it's traditional for fireworks to be seen and used. These fireworks signifies the start of the New Year. In Vietnam, the fireworks is a popular tourist attraction during this time of year.

2) Red Envelope Money

Red Envelopes or Li Xi, is one of the well known aspects of New Years. Children are given red envelopes containing various amounts of money by adults. These envelopes signify luck.

3) Temples

A traditional ceremony for New Year's is visiting temples. When visiting,  people usually pray for good fortunes in the year. This can also be called praying at pagodas

4) Family Parties

It is traditional to go over to a relative's party and have the family gather there. Just like a family reunion. Having fun eating and talking with one another.
5) Greetings

People traditionally say Happy Lunar New Year to one another. To give each other good luck. Saying, "Chúc Mừng Năm Mới”

Zodiacs

Dragon:

People born in the year of the dragon are very exciting and intelligent. They can also be very blunt and straight up. They are also the type to despise hypocrisy.

Snake:

People who are born in the year of the snake are the sensitive and humorous type. They are also know as the talented one in literature and art. But they can easily be paranoid.

Sheep:

People born of the sheep are very kind and polite. They can be compassionate and wise. But can be timid or decisive.

My horoscope:

Year of the snake: Since I'm part of a couple, my horoscope says I need to prove my love for my significant other. It also mentions to sort out my priorities to be able to efficiently work out my work ethics and day to day life and I will be able to look for my success.

Food:
1) Mứt

Mứt are candied fruits that are serve as snacks to welcome guests into the new year. They are placed into beautiful boxes and inside the box consists of ginger, carrot, sunflower seed, watermelon seed, lotus seeds, and much more.

2) Bánh tét/chưng

Bánh tét are rice with mung bean and pork as well as other ingredients added. It's wrapped in banana leaves and is usually eaten on tet due to it can last a month without going out of date. Quite delicious.

1) Lanterns 

Lanterns are typical hanged on the eve of Spring Festival and are not removed until the end of the Lunar year. People made lanterns to celebrate their peaceful life and the strong, powerful country. 

2) Spring Couplets (Chunlian)

Written on red paper, with black or gold Chinese writing, spring couplets are poems. Putting up couplets expresses people's excitement for the festival and hope for a better life.

3) Fresh flowers/Live plants

Fresh flowers/plants symbolizes the welcoming of Spring as well as decorating homes to make it more festive for the holiday.

1) Horse:  
People who were born in the year of the horse are claim to be extremely active, energetic, known for having a sense of humor, and love to take center stage. In the Chinese element theory, there's five types of horses, wood, fire, earth, gold, and water.

2) Rat:
People who were born in the year of the rat are known for being resourceful, kind, smart, and quick minded. Although they have good command skills, rats are not capable of being leaders, they rather have a narrow view of everything.

3) Ox:
Those who are oxes are diligent, dependent, strong and determine. With great patience, Oxes can achieve their goal with consistent efforts. They are not influenced by others and rather take it into their own hands.

-pay back all loans before the end of an old year, so that they can start the new year with a clean slate., no sweeping on the first day of tet, you will sweep away all your luck,take out the garbage on the first day of tet, because your rubbish should be in the rubbish bin, but under no circumstances should you dispose of it, no washing clothes on the third day of tet, and to avoid crying on the first day of tet, bad luck.

- TIGER: passionate and brave, loves to take challenges.tigers are also very trust worthy and tend to never brake promises. They are also easy to be trusted by others. Tigers are very confident and are born to be good leader, they also never give up until they achieve the goal.
-ROOSTERS: are intelligent, responsible, disciplined, and talented. They show off a lot and very talkative and convincing people into things. Roosters are also straight forward and likes to dress up, sociable, competitive, and gets along with others quickly. they also have a unique sense of color and loves to praise others.
-MONKEY: Likes to show off and wants to try everything and make achievements. They also  get along  well with others quickly, and has unique views on things. Monkeys are also very aggressive and loves to compete with others and pursue new things. They are also very confident, brave, strong, extraordinary, and acts like a leader. Finally they also learn new things really  fast.
