DK is the band's keyboardist and frontman. Ever-seeping with fresh ideas and craving to stand out from other musicians, DK brought his classical piano upbringing into playing contemporary Western music, where he self-taught himself to play ad lib. His knowledge of traditional Malay music and chord progressions ensure that the band do not stray from the roots of Malay music. He is also responsible for creating the motifs of the band's original compositions.

SONGS: Zapin Pop

Zapin Pop was composed in 2015 by DK and Mus. They played together in Orkestra Sri Temasek, and ended up schoolmates when DK joined LASALLE College of the Arts in 2014. Mus came up with the idea of creating an Zapin-Pop fusion song, and he and DK came up with a tune highly inspired by a popular Zapin song, Zapin Telok Belangah. Mus debuted this song for his Level 3 Diploma end-of-year recital, and received praise for its fresh concept from his peers and mentors, which seeded the pair's desires to further the type of music they newly incepted. The motifs and progression of the song were written by DK, while the instrumentation and arrangement were organised by Mus. The song would go on to have many different iterations, at first even having a segment in the bridge where the typically Zapin groove would transition to Reggae as the accordionist solos over it. However for the Teck Ghee Active Ageing Night re-arrangement of the song, they elected to go with a toned-down version of the song, opting for minimalism, and dropping the accordion-reggae segment in exchange for a Canggung groove on the rebana as played by Jamal.

SONGS: Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin

The band wanted to find a song to which the elderly audience would be able to relate to for the performance at Teck Ghee Ageing Night 2016, and chose to perform 'Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin' (translation: 'The Moon Represents My Heart'), but with a Malay twist. To make it even more interesting, the iconic intro of 'Dondang Sayang' was added to the beginning and end of the beloved song to give it the initial appearance of a traditional Malay song. The song was also re-arranged to incorporate the other three core grooves in traditional Malay music, which are Asli, Inang, and Joget. The vocal melodies were instead played by Mus on the violin, the harmony was provided by DK on piano, and Andrea provided the bass-line grooves native to each of the three styles. The song was warmly received by the audience.
