         <title>What type of learner am I? </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The ways I like to learn are by doing work that includes visual, verbal, and reading/writing. This is the way I personally learn the best. To be honest with you I don't really exactly know what doenst work best for me but I'm open to different ways of learning.&nbsp;</li><li>My strengths as a student would probably be being resourceful, determined, advocative, passionate, creative and curious. &nbsp;</li><li>To be honest I feel like the challenges I'll encounter with learning this year will probably be organizing work and trying to make time to finish every homework I have from every period.&nbsp;</li><li>The goals I have for my acdemics/learning is that I don't want to get distracted, I want to focus and get things done. I don't want any slip ups and I want to be able to have control over how I manage my time in order to finish every assignment and do good.&nbsp;</li><li>My long current academic goals and long term goals in life are similar in a way of mainly not wanting to fail but to succeed and do well.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;I would say that communicating about my academic needs with all my teachers would be&nbsp;all what will really help me succeed in all my classes.&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. To be honest with you, I didn't try out any new strategies when writing my argumentative writing assignment. All I did was try to find relevant evidence that'll support my claim and make my claim a strong enough statement for the side of the argument I was supporting.&nbsp;<br>2. I am proud of my use of analyzing my pieces of evidence and also trying to stay on topic and not sounding repetitive.<br>3. An area I need to improve in is in the organization and also the fluency/flow of my paragraphs.&nbsp;<br>4. A plan I have to help me meet my goal is to try to seek feedback in order to see what areas I still need to improve in.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I tried picking my evidence from google classroom.&nbsp;<br>This helped me pick evidence that I usually do.&nbsp;<br>I'm sure that i'll do this again if I have to. This has led me to sometimes struggle with finding relevant evidence that'll support my claim and make it strong. I think picking the right evidence that'll be able to back up my claim is a strength I can use for implicit and explicit analysis. What I wrote in yellow is my strongest evidence. Something I want to work on is finding pieces of evidence that are relevant and also strong enough to back up my claim. Also I want to work on not being too repetitive. I plan on working towards this goal by making sure I collect evidences that make sense and also have relevant information in it in order for the evidence to back up my claim strongly. I also plan on not repeating myself and including new information throughout my writing. I could also ask&nbsp;other people if they have relevant evidence that could support my claim. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I experimented with reading my essay out loud to make sure if my grammar and the structure of my text made sense. Also making sure that I added commas and periods to make sure my sentences looked organized. I'm proud about being able to fix up my sentences and making sure I have commas and periods and quotation marks where it's needed. I don't feel like I have struggled with this in the past but I feel like getting feedback about my grammar could help me improve it. I want to work on where to place my periods when I put quotation marks on a quote I get from the text because I sometimes don't know where to place them.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Rationale: I believe that I have earned an A in this class because I think I am meeting standards and also exceeding them. Although I'm still not able to see what score I got on the conventions and argument checkpoints, I think I am meeting and also exceeding standards--just referencing the oldest assignments I've done back in September and also early October, I think I did get 3.5 or 4.&nbsp;<br>I spent a lot of time trying to use relevant evidence for the writing assignments we've done for example the character motivation writing assignment and also the SDOTGD interpretive writing assignment. I know that I write a lot and I feel like that is one of my strengths which I feel will probably help me succeed in this class.&nbsp;<br><br>Steps/Goals: The goals I have for the upcoming quarter are to advocate for myself and also make more time to be able to complete things and do them properly.&nbsp;<br>I also want to improve on not being repetitive. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Now that the semester is coming to an end, I'd like to write a reflection on how I've felt my progress has been this whole semester. For starters, I'd like to share a few new strategies that I've been trying to apply to my work. I've been trying to hear what others say about the things we go over in class, for example over claims we have about the stories we've been analyzing. And with that being said, I feel that hearing what other people say helps me better understand what I can say or come up with when we are asked about the materials we went over in class. Although I feel like I've been a bit lackluster with my attitude toward how I do my assignments/work in class, I feel that a strength I have is determination and also persistence. When I see something is wrong or isn't satisfactory for me, I try to do whatever it takes to get the results I wish to accomplish. What I wanna work on in myself is trying not to procrastinate so much because I've noticed how much it has been affecting me this year not necessarily just in this class but also in some other classes too. I also feel that I need to try to push myself in trying not to be behind and get things done on time. A plan I have to help me meet my goal is to continue communicating with my teachers about questions and concerns I have about whatever we are doing in class and also try to have more self-discipline on myself. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Some new strategies I tried out when it came to my poem's writing process was using figurative language devices I have never tried before/never really developed like, for example, using personification and metaphors. Trying out these new strategies made me feel like I have gained a better understanding of how to write a poem and how to convey the meaning by showing and not telling. Some strengths I saw was being able to utilize the information I gained on how to use these poetic devices and applying it well to my poem by being descriptive and choosing specific ideas that'll be relevant to what I was trying to convey in my poetry. What I would like to improve in the future is to try to experiment more with different poetic devices and not use poetic devices that are more commonly used. I plan to work towards this goal by practicing and getting more information on how to effectively utilize different poetic devices by asking for help/demonstrations.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>New writing techniques I tried out was adding stanza breaks and line breaks into my poem to intensify the mood/tone I was going for in my writing. At first, this writing was a little confusing for me but then I got the hang of it with a little bit of help.&nbsp;I am honestly proud of how I was able to add line breaks/stanza breaks into my poem because it made my poem sound more professional and it made me feel like I have improved in a way. What I would like to work on improving is, experimenting a little more with adding rhyme to my poetry. I'll be able to work towards my goal by doing research, seeing examples of this writing organization; as well as asking for help </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>To be honest, performing in front of people and opening up about my poem and showing raw emotion to convey the meaning of my poem by not only doing that but by also using, tone, body movement, hand gestures and facial expressions was all new to me. But when performing my poem, some new strategies I tried out were trying to use tone, body movements, hand gestures and facial expressions. I feel like these new strategies worked out for me and I felt like it made me slightly get over my fear of talking in front of an audience. One thing that made me proud about my performance was, not feeling shy to talk in a loud voice, as well as trying to make eye contact. Something I wish I could've done better/ I want to improve is utilizing pacing in my tone. As well as making more hand gestures.&nbsp;<br>The way I plan to work towards this goal is by trying to put myself more out there in front of another live audience to gain more and more confidence and not let my nerves make me not do things the way they should be done.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
