         <description><![CDATA[<div> 1. There was not a lot of air pollution as compared to today. Air pollution came from burning coal or  wood and odors from sewage and garbage. </div><div>2. Rome had clean water from aqueducts but other sources were polluted from tanning and smelting or sewage. <br>3. Burning coal and wood.<br>4. Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism disallowed the consumption of animals and promoted their preservation. These religions were practiced in India, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. <br>5 .Lead was used to sweeten food and was used as a material to make utensils, causing people to get lead poisoning after long term consumption. </div><div><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
