My goal for this first term was 50 but am barely short of it. I can get more classchart points by asking the teacher for it, which I normally don’t do.

I have been going to a chess club and I went to two tournaments so far. In the first tournament, I was 3rd out of 80 people and our school won and got a trophy. In the second tournament our school came third. I plan on attending more tournaments throughout term 2 and 3. I also hope to join other eee’s which develop my skills further.

Sciences

Physics: I got a 6 in physics and I feel most confident in physics out of all the 3 sciences. Physics helped me with my practical skills and it strengthened my past knowledge.

Chemistry: I got a 5 in chemistry. I feel like I did not reach my potential and aim to reach a 7 in term 2.

Biology: I got a 5 in Biology. Yet again I feel like I did not reach my potential and am aiming to get a 6+ in term 2.

Math

I got 8 on the test and my grade was 7+. Math made me focus on my arithmetic skills further improving my work in class. Overall, I think I need to study other subdivisions not taught in class to be prepared

English

I got a 4 in English. English helped me in various ways. It helped me find specific trends in questions and how to answer them. English also taught me how to control how much time I use on each question and what format answer is best for each form of questions. I also learnt how to write efficiently and improve my vocabulary.

GCSE subjects

Business: I got C (4) for business. However I scored 5/20 on the test. Although my knowledge is broad, I did not read the questions properly and I did not analyze what the question wanted.

Enterprise: For my first test on enterprise, I got 13/34. I did not read the question properly and did not analyze what the question wanted (the same problem I had with business). Overall I should go over past papers to understand trends and focus on how to write structured answers.

History: I got a 6 in History which I am happy with. History taught me how to structure an answer according to the marks of the question. This helped me speed up my writing pace and it made it easier to give more effective answers.

Arabic and Islamic

Arabic: I got 4- in Arabic and this year strengthened my Arabic knowledge.

Islamic: In Islamic we learn various Islamic rulings like what is Halal and Haram. Islamic taught me to keep my book organized.

I do tennis after school twice a week. Tennis was helped me keep me active and motivated.
