Dear students,

Next Sunday will be an incredible day, we have organized an outing to the center of Lima for exchange students of all professional careers. It will be a fun day, full of culture, art and history. The event will begin at 9:00 am and end at 5:00 pm.

To start, we will meet in the Plaza de Banderas of the university, at 8:30, we will give you a small snack. At the same time, we will be handing out poles with the flag of the country you represent for you to use throughout the day. After this, we will take the bus and leave for the center of Lima. Then we will visit some museums near the Plaza de San Martín, and then we will have lunch in the central square where you can eat typical Peruvian food. Finally, we will go to the Costa Verde Malecón and walk along the beach.

Around 4:45 we will be boarding the bus to return to the university. The event is free, but only for exchange students. Don't miss the opportunity to get to know the beautiful capital of Peru.

But now that I am studying at university, I have tried various methods of time organization; Before, when I came home from my classes in the first year, I immediately did my homework, and sometimes I even didn't sleep to finish it. However, now I practice the Pomodoro method, first I organize what I should do in architecture topics, and I prioritize the courses that take me the most time, then I focus 40 or 45 minutes on it, and I take breaks of 10 to 15 minutes , where I can eat a snack or rest my body. When I'm done with that activity, I then do some household chores, such as sweeping, mopping, cooking, or something else. This way, I don't overload myself, and I don't get bored with one thing, and I also maintain balance. In the future, I want to continue using this method, because it has given me results

However, despite our similarities, there are distinctive differences that make our friendship even more admirable. Alexis towers over me in height, while I enjoy capturing moments through the lens of my camera, while he plays soccer very well. Our diverse tastes and preferences bring an enriching balance to our camaraderie.

As we approach almost three years of friendship, the durability of our bond lies in our mutual admiration and support. We have become mutual pillars in facing the challenges of studying abroad. Our shared love of adventure and travel has further strengthened our connection, creating a strong friendship that benefits us both emotionally and intellectually. In this journey called life, Alexis continues to be not only a friend but a source of inspiration and he is also like an older brother who takes care of me and watches over me.

Then one day, I reached a turning point: I needed to face this fear head-on, and now was the time. No more postponements. I decided to spend the night in a completely dark room, with no artificial light. At first, the experience was disconcerting. The first moments in complete darkness were overwhelming! However, I persisted and did not succumb to the urge to turn on a light. My parents offered me unconditional support, explaining the process and reassuring me.

Encouraged by this initial progress, I sought professional guidance and signed up for a workshop designed to help people overcome their fear of the dark. The first session was intimidating. Entering a dark room was a daunting task! However, I persevered, guided by a trained instructor who patiently helped me every step of the way. I attended all the sessions, I faced my fears and little by little the darkness began to lose control over me. I can now spend the night comfortably without the paralyzing fear that once held me captive. I have developed an appreciation for the stillness and mystery of the dark, although I still prefer to have a trusted companion with me during nighttime adventures.

This experience taught a profound lesson. Stepping out of your comfort zone is both challenging and liberating. Even when we are mired in fear, taking deliberate steps to confront it can lead to extraordinary results. Approach the darkness calmly and you will discover a new sense of courage and tranquility.
