I like how we are watching the Romeo and Juliet videos because I can relate it to the text. Also like how we are watching two different ones because it gives us two different perspectives on the story. But I do recommend when we read it that we read it together and talk in between because I understand it more.

i like doing things in a nontraditional way (movies, masks, etc), but i wish we could act out more scenes

I like how we are watching both versions and comparing them and are able to find out what they are saying. I would like to act it out because I feel it would give us a better understanding of the play. I don't really like the shot by shot analysis but it is not that bad either.

I enjoy watching the movies because I can better relate to the text when I see it in motion. It is also useful to look at the translated version of the text to understand how it would be phrased in modern English.

I like the way we are reading Romeo and Juliet and then Watching the movie because it gives me a better understanding of what is going on in the book. I also like how we are watching two different versions of the movie to give us a perspective of what it would be like back then and what it would be like today.

I love how you give us visual and literature. The visual really helps me understand the story more so I would like to see more of that. I would like to get past the shot by shot analysis because I feel it is irrelevant to what we are trying to with understanding Shakespeare. Overall I think you have done well. LOVE YA COACH K <3

I think that this story was great because it brought me back to "the good old days." The story was great because it killing, romance, and confusing old-timey words.

I like what we are studying because it is very creative, and not "by the book" Cinematography is very interesting to study, because I want to make music videos. I agree with the others that we should act it out. Making the masks was something I really enjoyed.

I think that watching Romeo and Juliet in the movie style really helps me understand how the lines are actually said and interpreted. Through acting, I see the point that Shakespeare was trying to get across. I never understood what Juliet meant by saying, "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" until I saw the movie.

I like how we are reading and watching it. Watching it really helps me understand it. Just reading it would be really confusing and I wouldn't be able to understand.

I like watching the play and reading it at the same time. This really helps with the understanding of what is happening because of the irregular wording. I have really liked the story so far. It is cool to read something written a while ago. Although when reading the play it is hard to understand it is a good challenge'.
