I chose this book mostly because it was the second series of my favorite book, Percy Jackson. I really like how the author used a lot of suspense in this book, probably because this is when the main characters have to battle Gaia the earth goddess (Actually their great grandma), and the very humored and scrawny character, Leo, decides to sacrifice himself by grabbing Gaia and using his powers to create a huge explosion to blown up Gaia and himself, for the greater good. Everyone thought he was gone forever, but actually, he was granted immortality by the gods for his bravery.
I think the theme is Greek mythology, and the message is to always work together and put your differences aside.
