         <title>Why Safe Spaces Are Critical in Today’s Classrooms</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="https://www.weareteachers.com/safe-spaces-in-classrooms/">https://www.weareteachers.com/safe-spaces-in-classrooms/</a><br>Tiffany Lane recognized that her students did better when they were given a safe space to destress and relax. They could go to the safe space whenever they felt the need to be alone and calm down buy themselves. The article shows one of Lane's students playing with a collapsible ball, but the article describes other objects teachers can place in their safe space,  including books, headphones, and small toys.<br><br>The article talks about how schools have known about the need for a safe place at school for years. 1995- Sandra L. Bloom, MD: she published a paper "Creating Sanctuary in the school," <br><br>Trauma can come from domestic violence, abuse, poverty, divorce, a parent having a mental illness, being put in jail, or substance dependence. <br>Sometimes there is visible evidence to trauma, but sometimes, it is hard to see what a child is going through. Relational trauma is loss of human connection. It's  symptoms are described as feelings of neglect and isolation. <br><br>Studies have shown children are vulnerable to stress. </div>]]></description>

Those with learning disorders are also included in this group. This is about 15 million. Only 20% are even diagnosed and 80 % aren't being treated.<br>Low Mental health is especially increasing among teenage girls. Mental health disorders are the most common illnesses among children. around 50% cases begin by age 14. </div>]]></description>
