This theory provides evidence to evolution as if the same fossils were found in 2 different continents then how come each continent has a variety of different species.

Fossils show how much an organism has changed over time. A problem with fossil record is that it contains gaps as not all organisms fossilise well and many of them get destroyed or haven't been discovered yet.
