Dalton sah das Atom als die kleinste unteilbare Einheit der Materie an. Kann nicht durch chemische Vorgänge erzeugt oder vernichtet werden. Atome verschiedener Elemente unterscheiden sich in Masse &amp; Volumen.&nbsp; Atome ordnen sich bei chemischen Reaktionen neu an.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Entwickler: </strong>Joseph John Thomson</div><div><strong>Entwicklungsjahr: </strong>1903<br><strong>Thomsons Atommodell:</strong> Atome enthalten auch negative Elektronen. 2000mal kleinere Masse als H<sub>2</sub><sub><sup>.</sup></sub> Er erkannte, dass Atome nicht unteilbar sein können und auch nicht die kleinsten Einheiten sind. Negative Elektronen sind nach Thomson in positiv geladenen Atomkern eingebunden. Das Modell wird oft als "Rosinenkuchenmodell" bezeichnet. Er fand auch heraus, dass Atome Elektronen aufnehmen oder abgeben können und so auch "ION" bilden können.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Der "Streuversuch" besteht darin, dass Alphastrahlen (α) auf eine Goldfolie treffen. Das Atom besteht nach Rutherford aus einer großen negativ geladenen Atomhülle und hat einen kleinen, positiven Atomkern.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
