1/1 Why do we love?

This is an interesting question. I looked at the video about this question, and I was thinking a lot. I think it is not possible to direct this feeling. This is automatic. A little child may be amorous already, but does not want it.????? We meet with somebody, and we like something. We don't know what. The love is transformed into a friendship, and into a confidential contact after some years in adulthood. The fact that THEY WILL HAVE childREN, does not mean THEY are amorous. Many people live TOGETHER IN LOVE, but they do not have aNY childREN. The love is a feeling, the child is the successor. The animals have successorS, but they are not lovers. I think many years before, the people were thinking other way. The love was a romantic thing. There ARE SOME cultureS IN THE WORLD wheN there is not love iN THEIR RELATIONSHIP, they are together for the children only. I think that LOVE is very important IN the family. I think a normal family IS, where people respect each other, understand each other, help each other, and ARE happy TOGETHER. The bringing up OF THEIR KIDS is a big responsibility, and TAKES A LOT OF TIME . A child is a joy in a good family. When mum or dad comes home from work and the little kid jumps up happily, this is a great pleasure. Then the child goes to kindergarten in a few years, and then again in a few years STARTS GOING to school. It's nice to see theIR progress, success. And if there is a possibility, a sibling is born. It happens all over again. Then the kids grow up, and they can form a family and everything they are doing, as we learned from their parents.

I also want to live in a happy family, and after a few years I want to be a happy father with happy children.

The romantic love is beautiful and immersive at the same time is heart breaking and soul crushing. Why do we love when it’s like a roller coaster? Do we think the love makes sense our life or this is the escape from our loneliness. Do we call love our sexual desire? What we want is the sex only without love? Scientist and philosophers haven’t found the meaning of love yet. Does it have meaning? Famous philosophers who lived in the past had many theories for this question.

1. Plato

“Love makes us whole again”

According to his theory with love we became complete. One of in Plato’s work a comic playwright drank too much and he made believed with his guests that once the people had four arms, four legs, and two heads. One day they Gods and Zeus angered and separated everybody from their other self. Since then every people have been missing their other selfs.

2. Schopenhauer

“Love triks us into having baby”

He thought the love is just a voluptuous illusion. In his opinion we need another person who helps us to be happy. But only our desires make us believing. Nature compels us to have children. Love of two people completes in their child. After we have lots of baby and we are back into our tormented life in which we live before the “love”. Consequently only aim of our life is preservation and drudgery.

3. Bertrand Russel

“Love is escape from our loneliness”

He thought we quench our physical and psychological desires with love. He talked about that theory where people have been created for reproduction. But without love the sex unsatisfied. In our fair of the cruel and cold world we build walls around ourselves what protect us. But love help us overcome with our fear. Love enriches our personality and gives meaning our life.

4. Buddha

“Love is misleading affection”

Buddha proposed that we are trying to satisfy with our base desires. Love is a source of our great suffering. However Buddha discovered the eight fold path what helps us extinguish the fire of desire we can reach Nirvana.

5. A Chinese novelist

He illustrated the Buddhist sentiment in one of China’s greatest classical novels “Dream of the Red Chamber”. In a subplot the main character falls in love with a girl who rejected and humiliates him. He fought with feels of love and hate when he get a magical mirror that can cured him. The mirror’s one rule was that he musn’t look at the mirror but naturally the man looked at the front of it. He saw his love and his soul entered into the mirror and his body dead. The moral of the story is that love leads tragedy. For all these you should avoid this kind of attachment.

6. Beauvoir

“Love lets us reach beyond ourselves”

The French philosopher said love is the desire to integrate with another. She thought the love is meaning our life. She was interested in how we can love better. According to her opinion the problem is with love. We are able to believe ourselves that love is the only sense of our life. We can’t wait form another person to give meaning to our life. According to Beauvoir we should love authentically which is like a great friendship. So love helps to reach beyond ourselves. These two sides make each other life more beautiful.

Maybe we never know why do we love but it is sure love is a sensual roller coaster awesome and exciting which is a source of suffering but we slip from it.

1/2 Missing piece

1/3 My best friend
