         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. aerobic respiration-a biological process in which food glucose is converted into energy in the presence of oxygen.<br>2. bromothymol blue (BTB)-a pH indicator. Periodic Table-a table of the chemical elements arranged in order of atomic number, usually in rows, so that elements with similar atomic structure (and hence similar chemical properties) appear in vertical columns.</div><div>2. States of Matter-one of the distinct forms in which <strong><em>matter</em></strong> can exist. Four <strong><em>states of matter</em></strong> are observable in everyday life: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.</div><div>3. Structure of Atoms-three basic particles: protons, electrons, and neutrons. The nucleus (center) of the <strong>atom</strong> contains the protons (positively charged) and the neutrons (no charge). The outermost regions of the <strong>atom</strong> are called electron shells and contain the electrons (negatively charged).</div><div>4. Changes in Matter-physical <strong>change</strong> and chemical <strong>change</strong>. </div><div>5.
