         <title>2010 - Apple Retina Display</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Apple retina display was Apple wanting high-resolution graphics and display technologies. Retina displays approached the limit of pixel visibility to the human eye and allowed for a wider viewing angle and improved color. The Retina display became standard. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>First camera phone introduced was by Japan's SoftBank and was the J-Phone J-SH04. It had camera in it with a maximum resolution of 0.11 megapixels and 256-color display. Photos could now be shared wirelessly and SoftBank released a flip-phone verizon a month later. </p>]]></description>

         <title>1990 - Inte;&#39;s Touchstone Delta supercomputer system comes online</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Intel's Touchstone Delta supercomputer system reached 32 billion floating point operations per second and had 512 processors operating by themselves. Researchers used this supercomputer prototype for real-time processing satellite images and for other things. </p>]]></description>

         <title>1960 - DEC PDP-1 introduced</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>DEC PDP-1 was introduced and sold for $120,000 and had a cathode ray tube graphic display, paper tape input and output. It needed no air conditioning and only needed one person. It also got people at MIT to write the first computerized video game, <em>SpaceWar!</em> and programs to play music. More than 50 PDP-1s were sold.</p>]]></description>

         <title>1950 - ERA 1101 introduced </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>ERA 1101 was introduced and was the first commercially produced computers. The first customer of it was the US Navy and it was intended for high-speed computing. ERA 1101 stored 1 million bits. It was designed by ERA but built by Remington-Rand.</p>]]></description>

         <title>1940 - The Complex Number Calculator (CNC) is completed</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>CNC was completed by Bell Telephone Laboratories but was designed by George Stibitz. Stibitz demonstrated the CNC at an American Mathematical Society and Stibitz performing calculations remotely on the CNC. This is likely the first example of remote access computing. </p>]]></description>

The demonstration circuit proofs the concept of applying Boolean logic to the design of computers. </p>]]></description>
