In the book Lesil loses her family but has a foster one who is better than them.&nbsp; When Max leaves them she still remembers the good times in the basement she had with him. After a month, the wall was recoated. A fresh cement page."<br>This showed Liesel's friendship with her foster father. When her father found that she had a book she got from the graveyard he decied that they would teach each other. This also shows her yearning to learn to read so she can go to school.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The climax in the book is when the British and the American airforce bomb Himmel St. Liesel was a survivor of the bombing but not Hans, Rosa, and even Rudy. She kisses Rudy but knowing it was already too late it wasn't worth it for her. The mayor and his wife took her in and later she saw Max free and well looking and back in her life again.</strong></div>]]></description>
