Social media (especially Twitter) is a free and fluid organ which anyone can access. Domestic Journalists are the new FCs, when they report on nationwide issues, reports from different countries can simply look at their stories. However, we should be viewing the rise of technology as an alternative to the viewing of news stories, not as a replacement. Technology, social media especially has allowed us to see new perspectives and opinions on foreign correspondence, but sending a correspondent to another country, is a much more balanced, objective and of course professional way of presenting news.
